Free Picks

Today's Free Picks
NBA - NHL - College Basketball - MLB & More

One free pick per day, selected directly from same prediction models that power the full NBA, NHL, college basketball and MLB prediction pages. No guesswork. No gut feelings. Every pick comes from the data

WHERE THESE PICKS COME FROM

Each free pick is drawn from the edge-based predictions models running daily across NBA, NHL, college basketball, and MLB. Those models measure the gap between a sportsbook's posted line and what historical data suggest a matchup should look like. When the data shows a meaning full edge, that's the pick. There's no separate system for the free picks in comparison to our daily full picks -- they're a direct window into the same three-tier framework behind every full prediction table on this site.

USE THIS AS A TOOL, NOT A STRATEGY

IMPORTANT

No model -- ours or anyone else's -- removes risk from sports betting. These picks are a data-informed starting point, not a guarantee. Always do your own research before placing a wager.

Injury reports, lineup news, travel schedules, and line movement in the hours before tip-off of puck drop carry real weight. The model doesn't absorb same-day information in real time -- that due diligence is yours. Think of the free pick as the opening argument. You're the judge.

WHAT MAKES A PICK GET SELECTED

MODEL CONSENSUS

When two or three tiers of the model point to the same side, the signal is stronger. Those convergences are where the daily free pick most often comes from.

SPORT COVERAGE

Free picks come from all the sports we cover: NBA, NHL, CBB, MLB, WNBA, CFL, NFL, CFB. When models provide a clear signal, we choose the best for our free pick.

Edge Strength

Not all edges are equal. Picks with a higher calculated gap between the posted line and historical expectation carry more weight in the selection.

TRANSPARENCY FIRST

Every result is tracked and published. Wins and losses both. The historical record is always available -- nothing gets buried or quietly removed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW IS THE FREE PICK DIFFERENT FROM THE FULL DAILY PICKS?

The full daily picks pages are all of the strongest signals from our various models which are on full display in our predictions pages. The free pick itself is typically the strongest signal of all, but it's always good to consider all of our daily picks as one might align more with your inclinations.

WHAT SPORTS ARE COVERED BY THE FREE PICKS?

All of the major North American sports have free picks while in season. Those North American sports include, NFL, College Football, NBA, College Basketball, MLB, NHL, WNBA and even the CFL.

WHEN ARE THE DAILY PICKS POSTED?

Picks are posted each morning ahead of the day's slate. The models run overnight and the selection is made once the day's lines are set and the previous nights results are inserted into the models.

HOW ARE RESULTS TRACKED?

Every pick is logged with its result -- win, loss, or push -- alongside a unit tally. The complete month-by-month breakdown is on the free picks historical records page.

SHOULD I BET THE SAME AMOUNT ON EVERY PICK?

That's entirely your decision and depends on. your own bankroll management approach. This site doesn't prescribe bet sizing. What we'd say: flat unit betting is the most common and most traceable approach for following any model-based system over time. That is to say, a consistent percentage of your bankroll per bet can fluctuate day-to-day based on success/failure. You may even see that some sports are more successful than others so where MLB finished up +31 units in 2025 you may do 4% of you bankroll per bet there but only 2% in college basketball for example.
