WNBA Underdogs Are More Valuable Than You Think
Basketball bettors are conditioned to hammer favorites. It works in the NBA most of the time. The WNBA is a different animal. The talent distribution is flatter -- the gap between the best and worst teams in the league is smaller than the gap between Milwaukee and the bottom of the East. That compression makes the betting market consistently undervalue underdogs, because the public prices WNBA like NBA when it shouldn't.

This page tracks every WNBA team's record when they're listed as the moneyline underdog -- ML win%, ATS cover%, and over/under percentage. Three columns, one toggle, all sortable. The teams running positive ML records as dogs are the ones I look at first when they're +150 or better.
ML Win Rate vs ATS Cover Rate -- Not The Same Things
The most important distinction on this page is between the ML view and the ATS view. A team can be 40% ML as a dog (losing more games than they win outright) but 58% ATS (covering the spread most of the time because they keep games close). Those are both valuable signals -- just for different bet types.

Click the ML button when you're looking for plus-money moneyline value. Click the ATS button when you're fading the spread. Click Total to see which underdog teams tend to run over their total when they're in a game against a strong favorite -- some teams play up in competition, which inflates game totals.
How To Use This Before Placing A Bet
Before betting a WNBA underdog, I check three things: the team's ML win rate as a dog on this page, the team's overall betting record on the Standings page, and the situational data on the Live Betting report -- specifically how the team performs when trailing at the half. If all three point in the same direction, I'm confident at plus-money prices.
