What's In Each Starter Card
Every confirmed pitcher gets a card showing their season ERA, win-loss record, strikeouts per 9 innings, and their NRFI record for the season. Below that I show their team's ML record when they start, broken down by when they're favored and when they're the dog -- then the same breakdown for runline and over/under.
That last part is what makes this more useful than a standard probable pitchers page. You don't just want to know Zac Gallen's ERA. You want to know that his team is a 3-3 ML this season, 1-0 as favorites, and 2-2 as dogs -- and that he's 3-3 on NRFI across 6 starts. That's the betting context, not just the scouting context.
How I Use This Page Alongside The Other Reports
This is my starting point every day. I open probable pitchers first, scan the NRFI records for tonight's starters, then cross-reference the ones I'm interested in against the full NRFI Trends page for their streak data and average runs allowed in the 1st. If a starter has a strong NRFI rate and the umpire assigned to the game tonight tends toward tight zones and low-scoring 1st innings, that's often enough to make a play.
For live betting, I'll check the starter's SP Exit record on the Live Betting Report -- how does his team perform when he exits in the early innings versus going deep into the game? That shapes how aggressively I look for live bets as the game progresses.
When Starters Are TBD
Not every game has a confirmed starter by the time you check this page. TBD entries are shown with the available team ML and total so you can track the line movement context even without the pitching matchup. I recommend check back closer to game time -- most teams confirm starters by early afternoon on game day.
A Note On The Records You're Seeing
All team records shown are season-to-date 2026, updated each morning. The NRFI stats pull from the same database that powers the NRFI Trends page. Handedness (RHP/LHP) is shown for each starter -- useful context for lineup construction if you're building same-game parlays or checking platoon splits.
