Why Split Records Matter More Than Overall W-L

A team's season record tells you if they're good. Their betting record tell you if they're good value -- good teams win, great teams cover. Those aren't the same thing. The best team in the WNBA might be a money-loser as a favorite if the market has them priced too short. A .500 team with a strong home court advantage might be printing money at home as a small favorite while losing you money as a road underdog.

The five splits on this page -- overall, home, away, as favorite, as underdog -- give you the full picture. Sort by any column. Toggle between ML, ATS, and totals. The numbers update every morning after hte previous night's games are graded.

The Three Views -- ML, ATS, & Totals

The ML view shows win-loss records and win percentage for straight moneyline bets. This is the clearest picture of which teams are beating their implied probability on the app.

The ATS view shows against-the-spread records with pushes tracked separately. A team covering 58% ATS over 30+ games is a real edge, not noise. Anything above 55% with a meaningful sample is worth paying attention to.

The Totals view shows over-under frequency. Some WNBA teams are consistent over or under teams based on pace, defensive style, and timely timeouts to freshen up the players. By mid-season, the teams with notable over or under tendencies are easy to spot in this column.

What To Look For In The Fave And Dog Splits

The As Fave and As Dog columns are where the real betting value lives. A team with a 60%+ win rate as a favorite is reliably good in situations where the market has team installed as the better team -- that's value in parlays and same-game parlays. A team with a 55%+ ML win rate as a dog is the more interesting find: they're beating their implied win probability when the public is against them.

Cross-reference the dog split here with the Underdog Stats page for the same information with units tracking. If a team is profitable as a dog in both places, the signal is confirmed.
